Malini debuted in hindi cinema in 1968 with Sapnon Ka Saudagar. The film flopped but Hema survived. With Johnny Mera Naam (1970), Hema Malini became a super star and with Seeta aur Geeta (1972) she was the top actress in Bollywood. A
string of successful films particularly opposite Dharmendra Raja Jani (1972), Jugnu (1973), Sholay (1975) followed and made her the most successful
glamorous bollywood actress.

By the early 80s her reign was
coming to an end.

Both Jeetendra and Sanjeev
Kumar proposed marriage to her but she decided to marry
Dharmendra. They are blessed with daughters Esha and Ahan.
