Additional accolades (and more than a few proposals) followed in 2003 as Preity starred in two huge blockbuster hits. Her role as an uptight woman in Kal Ho Naa Ho won her a Best Actress award from The International Indian Film Academy, the Filmfare Awards and the Sansui Awards and she was also named Star of the Year by the Stardust Awards and Most Amazing Actress by the Pogo Awards. Her appearance in the sci-fi film Koi Mil Gaya also netted her the Chhoton Ka Funda Award and the Asian Guild Award for Best Actress.
